Why are you here? – We are here because I found the need for a community to share news. News happens all over our county all of the time, but it is never reported by local media outlets. We are here so that citizens can report their own news.

How do I report news? – Send us an e-mail @ news (at) burkeindependent (dot) com. We will get it posted ASAP. Once we get going, we will invite people who have reported to become contributers, authors, and editors.

What kind of news? – Mostly everything that can be concidered public news. Know where a firetruck, ambulance, or other siren was going? We want to know too. Something not being reported in mainstream media? We will.

Let us know what we can do to help. We are here so start spreading the news.
